There are two types of scheduling system built into FlexBooker. You can choose to either use just one type, or you can mix-and-match to create the perfect availability for your business.

You can add as many schedules as you wish to your company.

Flexible Schedules

A flexible schedule tells the system what time ranges on each weekday a staff member can perform which services. For example, a translation of a flexible schedule might be:

"John Smith is available to perform 45-Minute Massages and 60-Minute Massages every Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM, and on Saturdays between 11 AM and 3 PM."

The system will then work to fill out that schedule with the allowable services.

One handy tip is that even the same employee can have more than one schedule for their own availability. For example, you can have separate schedules to offer different availability for different services.

Fixed Time Schedules

A fixed time schedule differs from a flexible schedule in the following ways:

  • Each fixed time schedule is applied to only a single service.

  • Instead of specifying a time range for the schedule availability, you actually specify specific times, either by day of week or by specific date.

  • Each session within a fixed time schedule can have a maximum number of attendees. This is very handy for group classes or events. For example, let's say you have a Wine Night every Tuesday at 7 PM. You can set this up using a fixed time schedule, and choose how many people can book each session of this event.

The video below contains some helpful information about fixed time schedules:

An important part of fixed time schedules to point out is that you can create "recurring" fixed time schedules, or "specific time" fixed time schedules. When you create a fixed time schedule, note the two options at the top of the time entry page:

Once you've chosen an option for a specific schedule you cannot change it after saving the schedules. You can however mix and match recurring and fixed date schedules.
